Sathyan Girl/Guy-finding Algorithm (SGA) is a project inspired by the complications high school students face during Homecoming, Prom, and other events. It might be your first dance, and you really want to ask someone to it, but alas! Who to ask? Perhaps you have a general idea of 4 or 5 potential candidates, but there's no way you can decide between them! The answer to all your matchmaking woes lies in SGA.
SGA utilizes a novel method of matchmaking by factoring in how balanced a candidate is in addition to how well their qualities match up to exactly what you are looking for. Several linear algebra principles such as vector modulations are implemented. This way, a candidate having very good qualities in one area, say such as personality, can make up for lower qualities in another area. The terms "higher" and "lower" are used in relation to the rating system we use.
In the lite version, SGA offers and requires 6 parameters for evaluation. In general, these parameters refer to both the intelligence and overall attractiveness as a person of the candidate. Upon input of these parameters, our algorithm outputs a numerical score indicating how suitable the candidate would be for you, and, if multiple candidates were entered, ranks the candidates. A lower numerical score indicates greater suitability.
